How it began:

Chatham Morgan founded American Lunch while he was a student at the University of Alabama. During the course Leadership Development through Community Service, taught by Ellen Potts, Morgan saw the need for a food-based charity that could be mobile in nature. On the theory that many needy people have a problem with transportation, the idea of a non-profit food truck was developed.
